Definition: Shock due to lack of intravascular fluid in which the demand of tissue can not full-fill and leads inadequate tissue perfusion .It is an emergency and life threatening cases .
Causes:
- Excessive loss of blood due to hemorrhage
- Burn
- Diarrhea
- dehydration
- Excessive vomiting
Clinical feature:
- Dry and coated tongue
- cold skin
- Increase thirst
- oliguria
- Low capillary fill
- Tachycardia
- Confusion
- Tachypnoea
- Weakness
- headache
- Anxiety
Management:
- Elevate foot
- Fluid replacement
- Management of vitals
- control of bleeding
- Treatment of underlying causes
- fluid in and output chart
